Congress has just returned from August recess and is now in the process of determining the budget for fiscal year 2026, which includes funding for affordable homeownership programs. This is expected to be a tough appropriations cycle, and some proposals that have been advanced include drastic cuts to critical programs and services that our communities rely on. Now is the time to urge Congressional members to reject these cuts in order to invest in housing and avoid a government shutdown.
